Do you know what a
YES
feels like in
your body?
With over a decade of practice, and over 500 hours of formal training, I have developed the ability to see where energy get's stuck in the body.
I've helped folks resolve chronic pain, feel stronger, increase flexibility, and deepen their awareness of the miraculous instrument of their human body.
I want you to feel free in your being.
I want you to feel aligned and empowered.
I want you know how to cultivate your energy.
My movement classes are based in the practice of yoga asana, but are heavily influenced by core work, therapeutic yoga, mobility drills, and dynamic fitness exercises.
Each class is a journey of dropping into the breath, invigorating the energy, releasing deeply held tension, and opening up to new ways of moving, thinking, and being.

ACCESSIBILITY MATTERS
Many of my first yoga classes were donation-based.
This tradition of meeting the student where they are is very important to me, as I pass along these teachings.
My aim is to make these practices as accessible as possible, in every way.
This is part of my ongoing commitment to acknowledge my privilege, re-distribute my resources, and honor the indigenous roots of these beloved practices.
We are proud to offer a sliding scale for our embodiment studio membership.
Based on the descriptions of each payment tier, discern which is the appropriate membership for you.
On the honor system.
*All membership tiers have access to the same material.

YOUR PATH WILL FIND YOU
EVEN IF YOU'RE RUNNING
IN THE OTHER DIRECTION
Life is rigorous and challenging.
Just when you finally think you have it all together, you get thrown a curve ball and need to adapt.

I was introduced to the practice of yoga at the age of 17 by a doctor. I was born with a spine condition called scoliosis and I have two pretty severe spinal curvatures, and a twist! (Just a few degrees away from needing surgery.)
I was told by my doctors that there was no cure, but that yoga might help with my chronic pain. They were right, but little did they know, their casual suggestion to try yoga would open up a whole new path when I needed it most.

My college years were tumultuous. I was in a rigorous theatre program at UCLA, but I didn't feel like myself. I experienced anxiety, depression, and fell into some pretty dark places. I was reeling from a broken heart, and struggling with imposter syndrome. I started making really unsafe and unhealthy decisions. I was in a downward spiral, and when I hit rock bottom it was a real wake up call. I knew I had to make a change.

By some miracle, I found myself in a Yoga Teacher Training the summer after my freshman year of college. I lived in an Ashram in San Francisco, and was immersed in the entire field of yoga. The Yoga Philosophy opened a door for me. It helped me orient to a way of being that could process the stimulus of the world, but not get swallowed whole by it.

Through my journey, I have learned that I am a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) It's what makes me an empathetic friend, and a deep and sensitive artist... but having this level of openness and vulnerability is a lot to walk around with in our world. I had to learn how to be responsible for my gift, regulate my nervous system, move in alignment, and manage my energy.

These practices of yoga and meditation that I've been learning and practicing for over a decade have provided me the ground to be able to feel healthy, stable, and nourished in my body, and have provided a strong foundation for me to be bold, wild, and daring with my creative work. I had no idea that my body was designed to feel this good.

After a certain point it became natural to share these practices with others. Over the last decade I've helped all kinds of folks to build strength, increase flexibility, connect to their inner wisdom, and liberate from chronic pain.

My influences in Ashtanga, Iyengar, movement therapy, fitness, core work, and somatic therapy all feed into my integrated approach to my practice, and my offerings.

I strongly believe that yoga is for everyone, and can serve as an incredible source of nourishment and power for whatever you are navigating through.
